The only issue I have - which is different in the Faxon and Smoke Composites - is there are just thin holes in the carbon fiber with little bolts holding it to the metal mounting ring. I fear flexing will tear up those little holes.I have a smoke composites for both of my AR 308 and wwsd. It is a very nice handguard, very light, titanium barrel nut. My only word of advice is not to get it cerekoted, because it is a bitch to get back on You can get a carbon fiber handguard which will not heat up anywhere near as quickly, Troy, Smoke Composites, and many other companies make nice ones.
